Delaware Innovation Week spans November 3rd-7th. With eight different tracks, there is something for everyone: the developer, the startup, the creative. The topics range from the coverage of technology in the media to the governmental impact of tech to tech’s effect on leadership. Most of the events are free, making for easy accessibility for the community. Speakers like Gaby Indellini and Tariq Hook (a recently welcomed Mill Member) will share their stories, experience, and expertise. These are people we look to for innovation and direction when it comes to tech.

Last year, we were honored to win one of the Innovation Awards, and our own Rebecca Parsons photographed many of the events. If you see her and the camera, make sure to pose for a shot!

The Mill is thrilled to host a number of events throughout DIW17. On Tuesday, we are hosting a Makers’ Mixer in The Mill Auditorium (first floor of the Nemours Building) with NextFab and Hagley, two great organizations we look forward to collaborating more with in Wilmington. We’re also excited to host the awards ceremony this year. We hope that for many, it will be the second or even third time they visit us throughout the week!

It is truly amazing how Technical.ly can pull such a diverse group of innovators together and make an impact on the community. Wilmington is lucky to have this infusion every year! There will always be a place for the Delaware community here at The Mill!

Robert Herrera

Hailing from an architecture background, you might not have expected Robert would breathe life into The Mill. A Delaware native, he returned home after six years working on projects across the world, and wanted to start something unique. He gathered the community together to execute, and The Mill was born. He continues to work with organizations of all sizes to "make things happen." You can find him on his tread desk, burning extra calories while checking his email.
