As part of his Action Plan for Delaware, Governor Carney’s objectives included reviewing, updating, and reissuing an Executive Order to continue the work of the Open Data Council and maintain state’s open data portal. Delaware’s Open Data Council, a team from eleven areas of state government focused specifically on making more data available to members of the public, was officially formed by Executive Order #57 in January 2016. In order to continue efforts to promote sharing data among state agencies and to make state business more efficient and effective, Governor Carney will be expanding the Open Data Council to include all Executive Branch agencies. This event will mark the official signing of the Executive Order.
